A bowman can beat the hordes of skeletons guarding the island at level 10. But the boss cannot be beaten until level 20 or so. Better 30, though.

Giants mod is good, but really not suitable for beginner chars. It adds pack of new monsters to the wilderness, and most of them are tough even at high levels. This is fun if you are tired of killing anything in one blow.
There's also a drawback: finding golden saints for soul chasing purposes is really difficult, since they are substituted by other monsters in this mod.

I can't say I've ever tried the GIANTS mod. Is it as good as I have heard? I myself always enjoyed using Rhedds faces, much more realistic than anything I've seen elsewhere. Also there are a few modes that completely redo all the Breton, Imperial, Male Dark Elves, and Nord faces to look more realistic. I had made a photorealistic face for my Wood Elf, but the nif file for the head model worked fine from an outside view, but there was no head appearing in the inventory screen. Figures. The No-Glo mod is an improvement, takes away the annoying glow of enchanted items. I use to help take away the processing burden from my computer. I agree with Canadianvixen that the Bank mod is very well done, and I always install it when playing. I tried the Archmage Tower in Pelegiad, but it ran extremely slow for me......poor computer was out-done.

If you want a magnificient (but CPU-killing) manor, I suggest Balmora Private Tower. Or, if you are a megalomaniac type, Private mobile base. Search them here with "private tower":

MOST of the creatures in giants and wilderness mod are leveled, so they will be strong regardless of your level. Some of them are definitely unblanced, they move to fast to kill so youll run like hell when you see some of them.
And the worst part, the only reason I wouldnt play it, is that they kill your sitting out in the middle of nowhere npcs and vampires much more often than the standard game. This is especially when you are high level, because the monsters are leveled but the npcs are not.
They add a few ridiculous Dragons to the big desert area also, that are pretty much unkillable regardless of your level. But they are cool to look at.
Nothing is as impressive as an Ogrim from the regular game though, that creature is just beautifully drawn...
It adds butterflys, fish, rabbits flys and lots of stuff.

Wouldnt play the game without them personally.

Takes only some arrows to me. The trick is finding the spot where to aim, which is pretty small. Just like titans, which must be hit between the legs

Ok new question. It's gonnna make me sound extremely computer ilit., but I'm gonna have to ask. Where do I save the file to? First time I tried to download I just clicked open instead of save and, if I'm downloading a .exe, it usually works, but this time it just opened up the folder in my temporary internet folder. When I click the save option it gives me the option to pick the destination, as usual, but it's currently defaulted to the My Pictures folder. Where should I send the file to? Or does it contain an exe that I just need to activate?

If you are using winzip, after downloading the file. unzip it and it will put it on C:\ unzipped. after that, go to that folder, copy the necessary file to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files.

I believe most mods also include a readme file explaining things.
