ooc-lol, always the bread

Zachana climbed out of Verloren's pack and sat on her shoulder, cocking her head at the elves, her colorful eyes swirling. She jumped down and hovered in front of Wind Shadow, stealing a piece of his bread for herself, before darting back into her lady's pack. The colt snorted indignantly and stamped his hoof, hurriedly chewing the rest of his own bread. Verloren chuckled at her friends and shook her head. She felt a sudden prickle on the back of her neck and she shifted her shoulders. They were being watched, but by what, or who, or where, she had no clue. Shrugging her shoulders again, she winked a friendly wink at Khalraan.

(Even though Khalraan had been brought up a thief, he still had manners.)
With a nod from Verloren Khal broke off a bit of bread, and tempted the miniature dragon out.
'Why's she so small?'
He questioned.

lol-i did a double take when i saw the name. How many times you plan on changing it
In that last post i actually started to type Alliene, lol. But Verloren was Zachana's original owner, in my book [img]tongue.gif[/img] . Alliene is also Verloren's evil persona, so it still works
Also-if the indication of a faerie dragon for her familiar didn't tell you, Verloren is Chaotic Good

Verloren took off her pack and held it in front of her so she could watch Zach peek her sleek irridecent nose out,
"She is a Faerie Dragon," she explained as most of the dragon's neck came out, nibbling on the bread with a delighted purr, "Since she is a familiar, she has to be small enough for her mage to carry around," Zachana's kaliedescope eyes sparkled and she climbed the rest of the way out, before seizing what remained of the loaf and nipping back into Verloren's pack with a squeak. Giggling, Verloren rummaged into her pack and pulled out the writhing beast, still clutching the bread. She managed to tear it lose and handed it back to Khal, "She must like you. She never steals from people she doesn't like," Zachana cooed and stared expectantly at the loaf before Verloren told her not to.

Agreeing khal and Darun walked away from Verloren and secret master and satarted talking in elvish...
"Khal ,last night I meet a merchant in back alley and managed to swipe 100gold I spent 10 on a meal but half should be yours ...partner" darun handed Khal 45 gold.
then all of a sudden Darun whispered "we are being watched,their is someone in that tree by the princess we must act like we dont Know he's their and not alert the princess she may give us away"
They both walked back over to Verloren."Sorry Verloren,my horses name is Elathor it's elvish for "Snow Mane".

'Thanks,' he winked 'Want some bread?'
Khal held out the dragon spit dripping loaf.
'No? Ok then'
Turning his gaze to the trees he spoke
'I thought I saw something up there, whoever it is, they're keeping very still, better watch for throwing knives. He's probably an assassin.'
Splitting the bread into three pieces, he gave a chunk to each of the horses, and handed the rest to Verloren to give to Zachana.

*edit*oock, seeing as we've done about a page, I take it this is as large as our group is going to get, so...the plot:
Ok, to start off we're going to get away from this town, and conviently find Khalraan's sister, dead. Her village burned down, we're gonna have to find the pillagers, and kill them, sound easy enough? PM me if you want any changes, or a subplot

|)eath K. - Used to be a Dragon Night for an emperial guard, but then the empire became pacifist and had no need for a guard, so now he's looking for work... His race is Genasai though no one is quite sertain as to what type of genasai he is... he shrouds his eyes behind a dark helmet, though some say they've seen them glow, his weaposn of choice are a sword, and a spear. He only has 3 Special techniques, Jump, Boomerang, and Pile Drive. What these do are yet to be determined. Nonweapon proofs include animal empathy, dual weilding, swimming, climbing, increased running speed, fortitude, and protection from lightening (which seems to be a racial trait) as well as emmotions relate to weather patterns, oh and yes wild talent to controll flames along with rope usage and air moving (thats for folling down and up). That's about all he does [img]tongue.gif[/img] In relation to this story line, he is a tracker who'se got several peices of business to attend to with all of the characters, hoping to make a quick buck... err gold...

Items: Full body black Aerodynamic Armor designed by Tengu, one extra-bent longsword (Boomeranged a little too hard last time) and a multi-wood lance, the top layer of wood is purpleheart which has been dyed red with sakura dew (took a very long time to do mind you) his boots also have iron foodguards which protect from shockwaves, he's been known to get blisters when jumping without them. He's still working on jumping barefoot.


A dark armored figure sat at a bar stool, he stood out among everyone else at the local taven because his armor seemed to absorb light. He ordered up another exotic rice ale and chose to sit down and enjoy it. He then choked...
"Why is it COLD!? You dont serve this COLD!"

The bartended looked at him suprised "but it's ale!"

"oh never mind..." He pulled out a wooden box with an iron lid, placed a candel under it and waved his hands at it. The candel burst into flame and shot upward heating the Iron lid on the exotic box. He then placed the mug of ale atop the iron and it was warmed. Some people looked inquisitivley, others stared in discust at the thought of a hot ale...

The figured pulled out a tiny map and surveyed in "lets see now... Khalraan was last spotted getting on to a wagon heading east... That path interescts with Darun, and... miss Dragonflame... Well well... We might just be able to meet at last...

The figure downed the entire mug of rice ale in a single movement... he stood up layed down a peice of foreign currency, caring not for how the batender reacted and walked out into the cool night air.

He looked up and observed the pegasus in the sky constelation...

"You can't miss that horse of hers" he thought...

Looking down now, he could see a villiage burning...

"uh oh... looks like I'll have to take a detour..."

Verloren watched the men converse with a tilted head. They were too far away to hear clearly, but she caught a snatch of stealing something and her giving away a secret. When Darun passed the gold to Khalraan she chuckled and shook her head. Little theives. She patted Elathor. The elf used a saddle? How very interesting. Elves were supposed to have a natural empathy with horses that allowed them to ride without bridle or saddle, very much the way she would ride Wind Shadow, when he was a little bigger. As the elves walked back over she only arched an eyebrow and accepted the bread silently, her eyes slowly traveling to the tree they had kept staring at. So there was something in there. She very much wanted to send Zachana up there, but she didn't want to risk her little dragon's life.

Darun jumped onto his horse and since Khal doesn't have one pulled him up aswell "Verloren .Khal and I have to leave this town as we are wanted by many but if you seek adventure as you say then ride with us,we can offer food when you need it, protection if you want it and good friendship no-matter what."

"The reason I left my home was to seek adventure, and meet new friends," she smoothed Wind Shadow's silvery hair and hopped on to his back, her legs in the side-saddle position. He was strong, but he could only carry her for a limited amount of time, and she told them so, "Let us ride then," she smiled her bright smile, confident her little stallion could keep up with the white.
