Let me throw around a few ideas and check with Cloudy and I'll see what I can do with that...in the meantime...join the open arena if you want to get some play-time with your dwarf. I would be happy to cut on him a bit.
Thanks for the reply, Larry. No thanks on the disection. Too many dual bladed peoples that would love to chop up a dwarf. I should just read some more to find the right one. It was much easier when the forum was first created.

Hiram - welcome to the roleplaying boards!

You would most certainly be welcome to bring a dwarven character into the Darkclouds and Darker Plots Thread

I'm a big fan of dwarves myself and am a bit amazed that I find myself running a druid and elf heavy game at the moment. Still, we should be able to work your character into the story if you'd like. New characters to the thread should be between levels 1-5 and if you'd like to multi-class that would be fine. If you're interested send me a PM and we can kick around a few ideas.

Good gaming,
Cyril

If anyone needs a suggestion as to how to play a game, start a game, be a dungeon master, game master, or learn to write a story...this is the place to come seek help and guidance. Hello Larry. Any suggestions on which roleplaying thread I might join? You see, I play as a dwarf. Most of the denizens of the roleplaying forum these days seem to love elves and are racially prejudiced against dwarves. There is nothing super about my character and usually just enjoy the companionship in the stories.

Any suggestions?
You obviously haven't heard of StoneRock. He's my dwarven priest of Clangeddin, one of the few on IW. I do see your point of everyone loving Elves. I think its time for the short men to make a stand. But if you think dwarven rejection is bad, look at halflings and gnomes.

After seeing elves a little too often, they do get a bit tiresome, actually...

And come to think of it, yes indeed, I don't remember any gnome characters on this board so far... Okay, maybe I'll play one next time.

I thought one already existed...or used to.

I have not seen any of them posting lately.

I think the idea of creating more clans is less amusing than it used to be. A while back, everybody was both creating a clan and belonging to three more. It quickly got out of control and then nobody was really doing anything clannish except making exceptionally large signatures to brag about all the clans they were supposedly involved in.

I would much rather see you create a story based on the concept...rather than a clan that just sits around and begs for membership...

How about making the rule something along the lines of "clans must evolve from games"; if it is thus, then the membership, the concept, and the game would all exist before it is officially a clan. This would stop the problems of it being just a line to add to a signiture; aswell as the in-clan problem of no membership; and even put a stop to "recruitment threads" for games that don`t exist

Will do Larry. Right now, i'm working on members, but if you read about our clan, you'll see that we'll have lots of interaction with each other, due to the jobs and proffesions. I'm also going to have quests for all of us. Don't worry, I'll stick to the guidlines of what you just said here, or at least try.
