Where are the swords? - Page 2

Just wanted to add that if you are in an area that has say Davy Jones' Locker and you leave the area and come back it will still have the same stuff in it. It will only randomise if its the first time in that area. I had a save for Nessie where I was in her lair and decided that since there was crap in the chest I would just leave and come back hoping for different items. I tried about 5 times and it always had the same stuff in it. Luckily I still had the save of the first time I was about to enter that region and eventually got Excaliber.

Thank you very much for pointing that out!
I was wondering if my above post was erroneous earlier today when I kept finding the same items in the Rattkin Tree chests after leaving the area and then coming back...I reloaded prior to going in at all and "lo & behold", different goodies!

Wow, this makes getting Excalibur and the Muramasa Blade very challenging..almost too challenging! Ah well if we want them bad enough, we'll be willing to work for them won't we?

Challenging Princess, or you can just walk in once and get very lucky

- Excalibur is great by the way - my fighter is doing about 120 damage every swing now. It just shows up as Great Sword (unidentified) when you get it.

As far as I can tell those chests are not the only places you can find good swords, I got the Bushido Blade off of a random encounter in the SE wilderness....errr hmm might have been in the other wilderness...it was one of them though..surprised me when I got it out of one of those lil baggies that bad guys drop. Don't remember exactly who or what I was fighting at the time but was really surprised at the sword.

I'll have to let you know how lucky I am my first time in this game...it is a very bad week for my memory LOL...I can't remember what I found in there in my first game. LOL again...I don't even have a fighter in this one...I changed all their classes! Can Vi use it?

Theres a small cave in Bayjin shallows (lower right corner of map)I found excaliber in chest there...John
