M&M 6-8 were more FPS games than RPG games, if you were good enough at strafing and dodging it meant more than having a well-balanced party.

In my opinion, M&M 4&5 were the coolest M&M games, turn-based, had a large world, puzzles, riddles, dungeons, choices, many races, many classes, it ruled.

In fact, Wizardry 8 reminds me of M&M 4&5 in that you can think about your battles, fight with strategy instead of just having to react so fast that you don't get a chance to think.

I will make a 70% side with necoshippoo yes the m&m 6,7,&8 are better
30% side the stat's number cruncher is better.

back to 70% side. yah yah yah.. this is a good game. but It has not been released to the stores yet. great games can still be a big bomb
if nobody can hear of it, get it, play it.

geee ahh has sirtech showd any success in avoiding the best buy type stores? some where on the ironworks general news it says that wizzy8
is out, that was "6" weeks ago? are we waiting another 6 weeks for it
to hit the store shelves?

Totally agree Neb. I just loved these two. However I could not finish. From memory I was near the end of MM5 in the clouds, came up to a gate or something that I needed to enter. I needed an item to get in. I had the item but it kept saying I needed it.
Never did get to finish it.
If I could find the answer I might just replay these games.

I had to replay that game and save 2 million gold to disarm the World of Xeen traps in the final Sphinx, damn those things were nasty.

Heh, loved the dragonlairs, or the sequence where Corak killed Alamar.

Gaunty, EB has carried it since Thanksgiving. CompUSA has had it for over a month, those are your two best bets. Some stores refuse to carry it because of the initial EB exclusive on it.

I've played those three. They're all on the same engine. 6 was up-to-date, 7 was dated, 8 was the same ol' same ol' boring vanilla. All-in-all, I've liked this game far more than the Might & Magic games.

For the 2001 year, this was the best RPG released. And that includes Arcanum which I really liked and PoR:RoMD which po'd a lot of people with gigantic expectations and a few others.
