I also have a ninja, monk and samurai in my party. they're all about 20 now and i'm getting several crits a battle.
Monk - Martial arts all the way... except for the RPC monk RFS... i've given him the staff of doom.. and even though he's 4 levels below the party... that staff is popping monsters like they was zits on a teenager! also, mainly through practice i've developed pretty good psionics on him.
Samurai - It's all about bloodlust at first. I've had him with fang since i got it, and i just now got the ivory sword, with the enchanted waki as secondary. His magic also developed through practice
Ninja - Dual Nunchuks, with any throwing crap i can lay my hands on!... (like a monkey even the boomerang shuriken is gift from the cosmic lords, otherwise i'd have nothing to throw half the time. His magic is very weak at this point because his points have gone to every other darn skill (excepting lock/PP, bard is there for that
This party is my best one yet, though i may in the future switch out my alchemist for a psionic... and then dual to another monk

i doubt if i will ever get fighter into my party - it is absolutely useless and boring;
remember - the longer fight- the more hits you place- the better your skills increase;
i am verry happy with my ninja, monk and samurai in the front lines;
there is no better class using arms than samurai with their dual wielding+lightning strike+insta kills; good wizardry caster for distant combat;
i have a classical faerie ninja wielding CoC; it is good; throwing stuff goes for secondary/ranged attack;
monk stands in the middle-front and does lotsa kickin/punching; he has ability to KO enemies, insta kill comes handy too; good psionic caster;
bard, priest-bishop and psionic are doing just fine to support my guys that get dirty/bloody and cast some hell on enemies too; this game is too easy to play with a party of 6; (yes, expert skill);
remember - do not put chars into flanks, it's useless
good luck
