<font color=plum>It doesn't surprise me that Alda did such a good job acting live. One episode of M*A*S*H consisted of him talking almost non-stop through the entire show. He had to stay awake for some reason, so he kept talking to himself and a family of Koreans he was staying with to keep from falling asleep. Alda later said it was one of the most difficult things he did, cause the writers were making changes to the script as they went along. So not only was he acting live, he was having to adapt to a changing script as well.

It was an impressive performance to say the least.</font>

I saw that episode. M*A*S*H was awesome, and hokey, and hokeyly awesome.
