McManis, he writes a column in outdoor life, mostly the humorous misadventures of his youth, He's similar to Farley Mowatt who was mentioned above (Never Cry Wolf), If you like stories that are so off the wall they'll have you in tears, he's your man (He's also an Idaho native, Yay Idaho)
