Here in France, the French translation will only come out on December, and the Harry Potter series is so popular that bookshops have decided to put on sale the English book everywhere in France - which is a first : until now, only a few bookshops, all of them in Paris, sold books in foreign languages !

So I'll walk to my local bookshop on Saturday and buy it for my son - along with a dictionary.

I ordered it at the beginning of the week and yesterday they said it was packed already! But today is a holiday and they don't deliver mail on weekends here, so I might get it on Monday or Tuesday! I CAN'T WAIT!!! I doubt I'll go to sleep the day I get it because I'll be up reading all night.
I ordered the, er, normal version of the book, with the cover for children, since it goes with the other books I have. I am so excited! Apparently this book is 255,000 words long (Goblet of Fire = 191,000) which means it's almost a third longer! YAY! *bounces off*

PS: The book is causing problems for the postmen: http://books.guardian.co.uk/harrypot...978292,00.html

Anyone else got it?

I might go to the shop today, maybe it's sold out then I just wait for the Dutch edition. I have four in Dutch so I'm actually doubting if I should buy this one in English

Amazon promised we would get our copy today, and yep! Got it right at noon! I'm gonna read it after I finish a Dragonlance novel, 'Lord Soth'.
