Last I recall, there are no 5th Level Clerical Scrolls. It makes sense to have 9th Level Spells in SoA because,

1) Enemies used them.
2) You could find 9th Level Scrolls.
3) Installing ToB enabled you to memorise them.

BG1 is void on all 3 counts( Cleric-wise).

True. There is very few clerical scrolls in both games. They are primarily healing spells, for clericless parties.
But: in BG manual, there is four 5th level clerical spells:
Animal Summoning II,
Cure Crit Wounds,
Flame Strike,
Raise Dead.
I've found all of those on scrolls except Animal Summoning. Although I cannot be sure if they were added by TotSC or not (but you have TotSC anyway).

I was referring to your post where you pointed out that it was pointless to put 5th level spells in the manual if people cannot cast them. They can, but from scrolls.

Yes! Especially on ToB one !

No, actually two of the 5th-level Priest spells, Flamestrike and Raise Dead, are for Clerics only, not Druids. They are actually implemented in the game, but the only way to actually cast them (as opposed to going to a Temple or using a Wand of the Heavens) is to remove the EXP cap.

ToB was an analogy for TotSC.

In any case, the highest level Clerical scroll I found is Cure Serious Wounds... ...

hmmm. the original question still remains unanswered... if you remove the exp cap on TotSC (mine is now set to 2,000,000), you can now reach higher levels. if I get my fighter/cleric to level 10 (requires 450,000 on the cleric half to reach this), will I get the 2 level 5 spells the manual says I will ?

1. will I have lvl 5 spells
2. will I be able to memorise them ?

what about higher levels ? are the progressions built into the game ? once i pass the 450,000 listed in the manual as a level 10 cleric... will it know how much exp I need to reach lvl 11 ?

675,000 exp should be lvl 11 for a cleric, at which point they get a lvl 6 spell. will this happen with a removed exp cap or is this uncharted teritory for the game ? anyone know ?

I decided to test it. i set my Exp to the 2,000,000 limit imposed with my exp cap remover, which meant 1,000,000 for each half of my fighter/cleric

1. he is now level 12/12 with the next level for each coming at 1,250,000
2. it does indead give him the correct spell memorization slots (inc 2xLvl 5 & 2xLvl 6)
3. it does have 4 Lvl 5 cleric spells known
4. it does NOT have ANY lvl 6+ spells known

so obviously, all the advancement tables are included to very high level, but spells are only included up to level 5

therefore, if you're going to solo a character with EXP cap removed... dont make it a class that primarily casts magic (ie mage, cleric, druid)

XPcap remover changes the experience table that game looks at. It doesn't add new spells, so you are stuck with those that came with the game.
