Good idea Quig! I lured them into the teleporting room in the boogre caves, and they kept getting damaged around, trying to find me, hehe.. that's one of my favorite things about the game, the fact that environmental hazards damage opponents.. .butterfly flitting along, flapping beautifully *SNICKER-SNACK* CRASH!! right into the windmill.

I know its hard to believe now, but, later in the game when your characters are strong, the plants lose their ability to challenge. When you get to this point, and you think your practically invincible, try fighting the tree Oakenmir. He is located in the northwest corner of the Brimloch Roon map. I found this to be the hardest battle of the entire game, even moreso than the final battle with Cet, which was a bit of a pushover, what with him begging me to join with him on the path of evil. Save the game before trying this as no doubt you will get an ass kicking. Its worth it though if you enjoy the fighting and of course you get MEGA experience points.

The power of the plants is in the way their poison breath works. A single breath hits each character multiple times, and keeps them from fighting back until all the attacks have run out. It does this whether you're up close or far away.
The effect is very similar to what happens when you hit an enemy with a Flamedrop spell. Up close your mid-level characters get creamed as soon as the plant gets a chance to breathe; however, if you have a spellcaster with level 5 sun spells you can learn Burning Haze. Burning Haze is similar to Flamedrop but it covers a larger area and does more damage. After casting it, I like to watch the overgrown weeds writhe in agony while I yell things like "This is payback for the four parties you wiped out you insufferable $%#@!!" Iceballs also seem to work well on the things, but they aren't as much fun. |

Carg if you mean the creeping spores they are my least favorite. They blend so well with the terrain that I am prone to be right on top of them before I realise it. Night time is the worst. I suppose I might spew green if someone walked all over me. Can't you just see the brave six on one horse digging in their heels and pulling back on the reigns, all the while wishing for a reverse?

Sorry, Oakenmir the tree is in the northeast corner of the Brimloch Roon map, not the northwest as I originally stated. Hope noone wasted any time because of me.
