Right...:?

Perhaps there is Lemernis, but when I think about, most of the ogre-mages have stupid, thick voices like normal ogres. Oh well, maybe they needed something more powerful to challenge us, and ogre-mages came easily and too often to mind.

I seem to remember him being quite easy, as long as the usually balance of Cleric spells are cast on your party.

Or, if you can get ahold of the "arrow of ogre mage" (i think its called), available in S&S in BG city, then you can kill him instantly. If he has protection from normal missiles, cast dispel magic first. Then shoot him!

With a higher level party he isn't as hard to defeat, of course. My level 6 paladin party demolished him. I just like to fight him with a party of 4 or so, at around level 4. It's more fun.

I found that in Baldurs Gate, there is a shop where you can buy special arrows against the Ogre Mages. I think with them it would be possible to beat him even with low-level party. But i didnt try yet, though.
