Problem ADD] ~Chap4 Spoilers~ - Page 2

Dundee has added the phrase "~Chap4 Spoilers~" to the title to warn people about potential spoilers within this thread. Because he can't use a different colour in the title (he uses white in the body of a post usually) he has prefixed his alteration with "ADD]" - just so its clear that his phrase is an addition to the original title.

Thank you very much for your help, people, however even after installation of an original patch this problem still exists - no Matron Mother appeared - I can't make the city unsealed and continue the game. Big pity, main character has already 2 mln experience points. I am not sure whether it is a "bug" or not, anyway I think it is...

As Six pointed out - they aren't retroactive so you will need to find an earlier save for them to take effect.

You still have options though - you could CLUA in another Matron Mother and see if killing her would open the city.

You could simply teleport out of the city using the console, add the eggs to your inventory, visit Adalon and complete the Underdark that way.

Horrendous cheating, but if you don't have an earlier save, it sounds like that's going to be your only choice. Definitely not worth stopping the game though!

This is one reason why I think that it's incredibly useful to create a new save file every so often. Perhaps when you start a new area. Constantly overwriting the same save file will eventually bite you in the butt. It's definitely one of the nice features of IWD2 that it does so many Autosaves, giving you plenty of fallback saves.

Simply teleport out sounds perfect too! Yes, definitely, I am a biginner gamer of BG2 - [img]smile.gif[/img] , I never thought it is possible. Maybe 10 years later I will know this game throughly [img]smile.gif[/img] , 5 years of rare playing - for sure not enough.
