To quote from the SixOfSpades README that is distributed with Tactics installations now:

Weimer replied:
Unfortunately, making all of those checks would slow the game down --
Kuroisan's appearance piggy-backs on the 'always running, main
background game script'. I would love to make him more precise, but I view
it as an infinity engine limitation -- it can't really be done without
impacting the quality of the rest of the game.
Just FYI.

Update (for anyone who cares): I am now the proud owner of two sanchuudoku katanas. I thought the problem had resolved itself, but Kuroisan attacked me for a second time in Waukeen's Promenade and just happened to have a duplicate sword with him. I wonder if the regeneration stacks...

Seriously, though, this confirms that I have a bug. I plan to sell both sanchuudokus (and any subsequent ones I might acquire) to raise money to restore my reputation after the destruction which the fight caused. It's easier than trying to get rid of the bug and I certainly feel like I deserve the experience after killing him a second time.

Yeah, except now it's just getting annoying. He spawned right after I entered Suldanessellar. I mean, really, how many Sanchuudokus does a party need?

Actually, had he a brother, it'd be cool if he'd be named Shiroi-san. Kuroi-san is Mr. Black in Japanese and Shiroi-san would be Mr. White.

Seriously, I think Kuroisan was a reference to anime, because in his dialogue(short as it was), he said some short Japanese expressions that can be learned pretty quickly by watching anime.

Sorry if that sounded cocky.

You know, Kuroisan hasn't shown up in any of my games in quite a while. I had assumed it was due to a conflict with another MOD, but now I'm starting to suspect he's just been jumping into your game over & over.

And he keeps calling me "Mr. Anderson", too. I don't like this at all.

[Ed: P.S. I now have three Sanchuudoku katanas. Having just read SixOfSpades' thoughts on katanas in the "Assassin" thread, I guess I won't aim for a party of only Sanchuudoku-wielding characters. I'm holding on to them because I was shocked at how little gold they fetch if you sell them.]

Could be worse. Wait until you have to fight dozens of him at once.

That would be OK if I could also fly. And have semi-permanent improved haste on.

For some unknown reason, I found this thread even though it must been a long time ago. Its like it appeared out of the blue onto my screen. And I know someone is going to berate me for resurrecting an old thread but still............. Glad to have joined the Trademeet Kuroisans meeters. At least I know other people had their Trademeets ruined by Kuroisans. You can read my posts on that battle in a new topic which I just wrote. Btw didnt you guys try to lure him away from crowded places to minmalise civilian casualties?
