Well, for me at least, crtl+j DOES kill him beyond raising (his corpse is nothing more than a black, smoldering husk, so i tried manually killing him to no avail. (sigh) I guess I'm screwed then?

How could you not manually kill him? Turn off party AI and have everyone attack him. He *should* stand there and take the punishment. What could possibly go wrong?
Unless you mean that you killed him, raised him, and it didn't work...

Sounds like one of Korgan's GLOBALS got tripped (most likely an area check) but not in the correct sequence, hence the BCS script is stuttering.

Write down all of Korgan's stats and attributes, and all items in his inventory. Get rid of him now. Summon in another Korgan using CLUA, then open up ShadowKeeper and edit everything back to the way it was. Don't forget to CLUA in his items to get everything back.
