There are only... *counts* 3 scrolls of Wish in the entire SoA-ToB spectrum.

which would be enough for a low level wild mage to start casting it rather early

on a side note--yes, I found the final battle of SoA rather underwhelming--but I found it underwhelming a little bit earlier. Of course, this made sense as I was running around with a monk PC that started thrashing the bejeezus out of everything.

anyhow, my take on it was to start again with either fewer party members and/or interesting but seemingly underpowered PC classes so I could enjoy the fights *and* the storyline/party interactions

BG has an extremely high replay value, I find!

Well, the huge amount of classes, races and alignments to choose from, it has major replayability...one of the most replayed games I have. I mean, even the conversations you have can take a different route depending on your choices. I've had the game for, oh, let's see......*thinking*......at least 3 or 4 years (granted, I've only played for like 2) and I still haven't found every nook and cranny offered in the game. I even haven't played every class yet!

When I first fought the final battle it took a few tries for me...it's all you power-hungry gamers playing it 24/7 that find it easy! (Just kidding). I usually find certain games hard compared to other people, though, and I love the challenge!

Cheeers. And let's not forget, after trying umpteen party combinations, soloing the game. And then soloing it again on Insane difficulty.

I completed BG2 twice once on a moderate level and the last time on nearly the hardest setting. I found the battle quite hard the first time (lack of experience) and hard the second time because it was simply a suicide mission!! Enjoy your triumph (while it lasts).
