And also, what you describe as pickpocketing items and selling them again isn't really cheating, as the game made it so that you could do so. It is simply to take advantage of the games glitches, which I don't look at as cheats.
Oh, and I don't think you gain XP from summoned creatures.
Actually, i think in vanilla SoA without any patches, gated demons/devils really do give exp. Not a 100% sure, but i seem to recall doing that in the shauagin city in my first play through(god i miss those times! sometimes i wish i could erase all my memories of BG2, so i could keep playing through without getting bored .)

There is no such thing as cheating. You can spawn in game items like a bag of holding or replace a suit of armor, but the only possible way to "cheat" is if you get trigger happy with Ctrl-Y I'll usually use cheat codes for armor or cure characters everyone now and again.

I used to cheat, but it gets boring quick. I have them on still, incase the game bugs, but generally I don't use them.

CTRL-J is a wonderful tool, if you don't use it in battle. Otherwise, I don't really cheat, unless it's to test something out.

Speaking about cheating in BG2 is extremely difficult. I consider cheating using any kind of unauthorized software, like hex editors, game editors or viewers, and so on, for viewing or modifying the game files. Using built-in features is not cheating. Now, BG2 contains the "console" - and the console is a documented feature of the game.
Therefore, "getting" blackrazors for everybody in your party by CLUA console is not cheating. Winning combats by ctrl-Y (or what is it, I mean the instant killing of an opponent) is not cheating. And so on. It's not even a cheezy style, if we define the cheezy style as taking advantage from game bugs and overlookings.
Sure, it's our game. We have paid for it and nothing in our Galaxy can prevent us from CLUA console blackrazors for every hand available in your party. Nothing in our Galaxy can prevent us from "winning" combats by ctrl-Y. If we enjoy it then it's our business. But then, don't let us tell anybody that we have won the game.
I think we should forget about CLUA console and about certain scripting possibilities. We should use CLUA console only as a "patch" fixing game errors, like vanishing items, teleporting through locked doors that should be open, and so on. Cheating, CLUA console and "special" scripts can also be useful for investigation purposes but don't let us interpret the investigation results as game wins or combat wins.
As far as I am concerned, I do not cheat (even if I investigate sometimes ) and I use CLUA console only as a "patch".
