help with slavers quest

SixOfSpades is right. Are all slaves in CC (not on the ship) freed? And what is Hendak doing on the stairs?
I am playing a plain vanilla SoA. I usually do the ship "out of the quest" in the beginning of the game. I go there (without any quest), kill the slavers, free the slaves and (most important) take the loot. Later on, I do CC. When I free Hendak and the slaves, Hendak runs into the pub and kills Lehtinan. Then I get my reward. Only one thing must not be done: interferring the fight between Hendak and Lehtinan. Interferring equals spoiling everything and losing the whole quest.

I quite often hide behind Lehtinen and backstab him before Hendak even gets there. Don't see why he should have kill [img]smile.gif[/img]

I agree--I usually try to get the EXP for Lehtinan as well, but be SURE that you let him see Hendak ("Hendak! You ignorant, barbaric slave!") before he dies, or Hendak's script will get screwed up, which could result in.....not being able to finish the quest or collect the reward.

When I tried to help Hendak, Hendak attacked me after finishing Lehtinan and forced me to kill him, too. The shop was lost as well as the quest reward.
