Call Lightning *always* looks kickass.

Just look at Torment.

I must say, Call Lightning in IWD2 looks heaps better. Still, Call Lightning is a mad spell, pitty it only works out-side. You could maybe make one of your statues a drow! (I think there is a way to get out of the underdark without losing your drow appearance, had something to do with booting people from your party IIRC) Better yet, try a mind flayer, or maybe an iron golem

Replace the Mage and Drow with a Beholder and a Lich and you are set.
