Well, Why dont add points to Dex? That will rise your AC. And, I think Str is quite useless for a sorc since u dont need to carry heavy stuffs. Err... one more thing. As Chris said, wont sorc use Cha to cast their spells?

No attribute helps a sorceror's spell memorisation or casts per day.

The following stats will suffice.

STR: 12+
CON: 16( consider 17 so you can sacrifice one during Chapter 4)
DEX: 18
WIS: 10(18 if you use (Limited) Wish spells)
INT: 10
CHA: 09

Hmm, that seems rather low...maybe you're just unlucky with HP Dice rolls. But sorcys should stay in the back, not run up naked and get plummaged by arrows. IMHO, Sorcerers are the most powerful class.

My experience so far is simply this, the conclusion common to all mage-classes in D&D:

First 15 levels are the toughest. Once you get into the upper teens, things become incredibly easy. On the opposite end of the spectrum are Fighters (kensai in particular) and the like who have it easy early on, but face tough decisions later (though inquisitors can really kick some ass).

BG2 is based on 2nd, and the Sorcerer was adapted from 3rd.
