SIR BLANDAMOUR (The explosions where Bazguul has reentered the surface makes some of the soldiers start to move in that direction, but Sir Regnan halts them with a wave of his hand)

SIR REGNAN "Nay, silly children, he is merely trying to get us to fragment. Stay here, and we will meet him en masse, under the protection of this." (He waves the scroll) Archers! Ready the enchanted arrows and bolts and stand ready!"

Isaura

She fixes her sorrowful eyes on Galadria and gestures helplessly with her hands ~ "I am sorry, but I could well be a newborn babe." ~ Looking down at her lap in shame ~ "I remember nothing; everything is foreign to me, save for words... that, I must be grateful for." ~ Rising to her feet, she takes Galadria's bowl as well ~ "I shall go clean these, my lady. It seems that I shall only remember mundane tasks for the rest of my life." ~ How hard it is to stay chirpy...

Turning hurriedly, she makes for the nearby stream with the bowls.

Sorsha

Shrieking uncharacteristically as the elf lunges forward, she pushes him back as hard as she can, feeling slightly relieved at his resulting stumble. But it is quite impossible to hope for anything but the worst.

As Legolas advances towards her, a flash of lightning and rolling thunder signal her impending defeat. His hands have now grasped her surrendering arms ~ How crazy this is! Why am I so frightened? I am already wet, for heaven's sake! ~ Yet she is precisely so, her heartbeat now reaching an alarmingly frenzied pace. Before she realises it, instinct takes over.

Rushing into his arms unthinkingly and eyes closed, she presses her lips against his, her body tingling with a familiar sensation so long forgotten.

GALADRIA(laughs) "Nay, we shall share the task. It is too soon since your Resurrection to work you hard. 'Tis no great matter, which way we are to wend; we shall inquire at the next inn. Most innkeepers are great gossips and sources of invitation. Perhaps we can buy a horse for you, since Gold Top cannot carry us both, great cow that I am. We shall stay here until the morrow, then, on the road again. I feel uneasy, as if there is some great evil loose on the land."

Her face brightens considerably at the paladin's reassurance ~ "Truly, my lady, my heart feels lighter in your company. It must be the purity in your every action or word that dispels this strange foreboding that I experience." ~ Hope fills her sparking eyes as she ventures her request ~ "Would you have me as your personal maid, my lady? I should be pleased to serve you in any way that I could." ~ Her fingers tremble as she stacks the cleaned bowls neatly in the backpack.

OOC>>>As antagonists are always stupid and blindly power-hungry, Bazguul'tek will not be the exception to that rule this day. Stand your grounds and prepare for a fight. A plan is in place for his demise. I suggest all defenders of good consort Cerek aka Addison for their own parts in this epic battle. He has asked and been approved for the killing blow. But...he will need some diversion. Prepare for a diversion then!

Bazguul'tek

As Bazguul surveyed the area, he noticed that the defending army stood their ground, near the front gate of the city, watching carefully, ready to pounce on anything they deemed evil. A mage was reading words from a scroll. If that was the best they could do, to have a puny mortal reading from a scroll...then victory would belong to the abyss this day. Bazguul's men and he were outside the reach of the paladins' innate ability to detect evil, yet Bazguul's immortal eyes could clearly see what he chose to. He also was aware that the men that had ran into the tunnels were coming out again, much sooner than anticipated. No matter. One or two of them knew a few spell, but nothing so great as to cause alarm. They were merely mortal, after-all. Then he picked up another scent. This one was most alarming. He recognized the scent of a wolf...but...it was not just a mere wolf. And...a panther? looking around him he discovered that indeed, a large wolf and a panther were stalking him from behind. He ordered his men to shoot, not knowing exactly what he was yet facing. The two creatures separtated and began to run, circling him and his body-guards. The archers continued to fire, trying to hit the beasts, but the animals were faster, anicipating the shot, and darting another direction too fast for the archers to change up before firing. The two were running circles around Bazguul and his brigands. He was furious, but risked not casting a spell, for that would be seen easily by the paladins from their distance. He merely fumed and cursed while his men continued to miss the animals.
Finally giving into the hatred, Bazguul's form began to melt away to the ground, then solidify into something else. The men that were his personal guard were not alarmed, as they had always known what he was from the start. One or two of them had even the displeasure of seeing his true form before. Now, A terrible snake-like creature was in the battle, and sprang after the wolf with lightning speed, fangs dripping a poison deadly even among his own kind in the abyss. The archers were out of arrows, and had now taken up their swords watching their backs for signs of paladins or other goodly men. They decided to let Bazguul'tek handle the two creatures.

Raymond and TAO

Raymond had never felt such adrenaline through his veins. TAOWolf had shown him how to control his mind, his anger, and retain his consciousness during the transformation. Now, he and the wolf were hoping to catch the snakely demon unaware. When Bazguul had turned...Raymond felt a terrible fear wash over him, but then remembered that he too was now powerful. Yet, the snake was very fast. Naturally faster than he, yet at the same time, an immortal demon! How would they survive? Maybe just a little time was needed before more help would come. His thoughts were interrupted as the snake lashed out at him with those fangs, but Raymond remembered that in his panther-state, he was more than he used to be. Cleverly dodging the jaws, he continued to circle about, sometimes passing by TAO where he glimpsed a smile every time he passed her. It made him feel better.

Ni Deng

He had covered most of the distance in the dark. Only when the sun's rays crested the hills in the east had he reverted back to his slow pace, leaving the road to take a shorter path through some trees. He had been listening to the sounds of fighting all day long, and as he crested a final rise in the landscape he could see the city, and hundreds of knights in shining armour. This was the place alright.
It took him the better part of the afternoon to get down to their appearant leader.

"Good Sir, I am being Ni Deng. You fight today for saving the world, yes? Can you be interested in the services of a humble gardener in the slaying of the daemon?"

He held up a small shovel and arched an eyebrow...

You seem in need of one, and, having saved you, I am responsible for you. You shall not leave my side unless it be your desire. Now, come along. We shall get back on the road and find a kindly innkeeper to point us the way to Erebos."

You will only hamper them, when it comes to blows. Pick your own spot, and fight your own fight, for that is what all folk of kindly will must do."
