Alielis smiled. "Perhaps with this, fair lady?" he pulled back his cowl sleeve, to reveal an armlet, shaped like a serpent. "Dimension Door, it casts, what else it does, I cannot say. It is bound to me though, and only I can use it. Where do you wish to go?"

As verloren watched the armored figure shrouded in smoke, she saw that the siloute changed before her, the armor had disaperated, instead there stood a man cloaked in a white robe with streaming sleeves which went far past his arms, with a wide-brimmed straw hat. It looked as if someone had taken a bowl and placed it on his head upside-down.

The figure shrouded his eyes behind it, and stood with the same expression that D.K. had...

was this really him though?

ic:Khal stared at DK, feeling it strange that the paladin should wear such clothes. Flicking through the book, he came to a page he had obviously been looking for, and put his hand on the orb.
'Tar ne' craal'
The sphere shimmered as it floated in the air, and seemed to disappear, seeing the group staring, he put his hand into the air, and the sphere was there, as he took it away again, it could only be seen by the holder once more.
'I figured there must be away to move it around, it can't just be used in this room, so I looked for the summoner person's spell to do it.'
Grinning at everyone, Khal had smug look on his face.

Verloren frowned at him, "Give me that book," without waiting for his protest she lifted it from his hands, "Perhaps that stupid thing can get us out of here," she traced her slim finger down the anciet words, muttering to herself, and suddenly glanced at the new DK, as if seeing him for the first time,
"DK, perhaps you could get us out of here? This book has no index so it's slow going..." she shrugged helplessly as Zachana crept from her pack to sniff the new comer.

"IT WONT WORK FOOL!!!" exclamed Darun "The magic of this tower is far greater than your spell ,unless you are not what or who you said you were when we first met...Anyway ,why were you in this tower in the first place..."

"I have had enough of being questioned! I owe you nothing, nor do you have any right to question me!" with anger in his tone, he held out his armlet, and pointing its ruby eye's at a spot in front of him, he unleashed a firey-bolt from it, causing a rift in the towers magical energies temporarily, and with a snarl, the elf said, "I shall find my own path, I offer you aid, and you refuse it, and then you question me, and insult me!" the elf wanned and turned pale, obvious he was using his own life energy to breech the magical protections, "What the hell are you waiting for?! MOVE!" the elf cried, the dimension door flickered, and looked as if it would collaspe in on itself any moment...

'We gotta way out, and your magic breaks the sphere thingy, let's go'
Smiling, he pocketed the book in his cloak, before anyone could take it from him again, and ran through Alielis' portal, motioning to the others to follow him. As Verloren came through, Khal whispered to her, making sure that no-one else could hear.
'I don't think you should anger mister Alielis, he seems to be pretty annoyed at the moment.'
The young elf said very seriously.

Alielis Tahlbael Maitha stepped though his portal as he felt his life energies decreasing, almost dead, he'd held it for as long as he could, and if the others had no stepped though, that was their problem, and their fault...

He staggered though his portal, and it snapped shut behind him. The young elf staggered to his knees and collasped, face down in the dirt; he was out cold. His skin could been seen clinging to his bones, and it was a deathly white. His serpent armlet was glowing golden, its ruby eyes pulsing.

Those who had followed though the dimension door was in a glade, about five miles from the tower - it was forested, but not overly so - the sun shone though the gasps in the tree, and birdsong could be heard. It was pleasent and peaceful...

The room fell silent as hopes diminished... then D.K. got a plan...

He pulled his fist back and with all his strenghte he would blow a hole in the wall and open a gateway to their freedom...

He reared his arm back and ran toward the wall, shouting in a low tone his fist met the wall, and stopped... He helt it there for about... oh... 3 seconds... then it started sliding down the side of the wall, as if screaping his knuckles to the bone was barley painfull, he pulled his hand back, and walked back to exaclthy where he'd been standing, while holding his fist...

"Ouch" he explained to the group... and then resutned me cross-armed position, and remained in deep thought...
