Holding out a peculiar looking object, the thief said

Alielis's eyes were ice. "Did you just take that off me boy? Are you a thief?" The elf's dai-katana was out in an instant, his eyes blazing icy-fire. On his arm, there was ornatmental dragon/serpent armlet, golden in colour with ruby eyes, the others caught its flash, before the sleeve covered it.

At the apperance of the katana, Verloren's dagger came out and arcane words slid smoothly off her tongue as she cast protection spells on herself and her friends. Steel could be heard grinding the stone of the tower as Wind Shadow tensed to leap forward. Zachana had climbed from her pack and had her wings stretched defensivley, eyes glittering with sharp hisses coming from her bared fangs. Verloren's own eyes flared as red as the rubies she had glimpsed on the elf's armlet,
"Don't be foolish. He hasn't even touched you. Stay your blade, or you'll find yourself in a real mess, Alielis," despite her anger a small spot of humour shone through her voice at his name. It was so similar to her horse's it was laughable. Maybe not in this situation, but it was.

The Dai-katana dissapeared as quickly as it had appeared. The elf's eyes were ice. "I do not like thieves, this much I recall, if only, because my memories were stolen. Do not steal from me again. Ever." The elf addressed the one called 'Verloren'. "I am meant to go with you - I do not know how, or why, but I know I am."

Verloren's eyes were as fiery as the elf's were frosty, but she straightened and sheathed her dagger, and her familiars relaxed,
"You're to travel with us? Wonderful," her voice dripped with malcontent, "Don't worry, I'll try not to confuse your name with my stallion's, but don't get too happy if I call you Wind Shadow," tossing her hair, she turned on her heal and walked out of the tower.
