Pity, because it is a fantasticly humorous series with some very funny moments. Anyway, as a lawyer Rumpole always acts for the defence. So a "Rumpole" is synonymous with a lawyer leaping up with a robust and stirling defence. [/QUOTE]Well how would I be able to pass judgement on whether he was accurate or not my good fellow - it was not my place to, and there was (and perhaps still is) an anti-sniping ban in place.

Having said that, the posts that I recall reading at the time (and since) from various sources across the world wide web (not all IW of course didn't exactly preclude the possibility that TL's defence was more spiritual than factual. If you want to clear up any misconceptions then that is different, because you are in best position to honestly stare into your heart and recognise the stimulus / response pairings at the time and provide us with the broader panoply that most of us are evidently missing.

This thread looks like making the 100 post mark - rather an impressive comeback to IW MagiK = there is some more good news [img]smile.gif[/img] .

1. Other people will only care about US deaths if their own citizens are also involved?
or is it
2. The presence of other nationalities in the US tragedy makes it a non-US tragedy?
