![]()
LOL - no amigo, but it was a reference that I was expecting you to be aware of. You obviously never watched a series called Rumpole of the Bailey. Pity, because it is a fantasticly humorous series with some very funny moments. Anyway, as a lawyer Rumpole always acts for the defence. So a "Rumpole" is synonymous with a lawyer leaping up with a robust and stirling defence. Nothing sinister then, but do a search for Rumpole of the Bailey if you don't trust and would like more info on this fantastic series.

Cloudbringer has asked me not to 'snipe' so I'll just post this and remind you that not all of the victims of the WTC atrocity were American.

Just as things started to look Good.
The US gets its first case of Mad Cow Disease. Very Bad!!!! All countries close borders to beef, watch as New York Stock Exchange Plummets. Now the big question for Bush fans. If Bush is responsible for all the previous good things is he responsible for the case of mad cow disease? Maybe the cow got sick and mad of his policies? OK bad joke for a bad situation!!! ![]() On a positive note Merry Christmas everyone! [ 12-24-2003, 11:05 AM: Message edited by: pritchke ] |

Here is some good news:
Lenny Bruce granted posthumous pardon NEW YORK (CNN) -- Gov. George Pataki has pardoned the late stand-up comedian Lenny Bruce for a 1964 obscenity conviction.

You could have pointed out that he was exactly accurate in what he said too.
Well how would I be able to pass judgement on whether he was accurate or not my good fellow - it was not my place to, and there was (and perhaps still is) an anti-sniping ban in place. Having said that, the posts that I recall reading at the time (and since) from various sources across the world wide web (not all IW of course ![]() This thread looks like making the 100 post mark - rather an impressive comeback to IW MagiK = there is some more good news .

Besides, what IS your point here? Is it... 1. Other people will only care about US deaths if their own citizens are also involved? or is it 2. The presence of other nationalities in the US tragedy makes it a non-US tragedy? Despite the accuracy of your figures, what does it have to do with my point? |

Ahh thanks now I remember...it is perfectly fine to make specious accusations, inacruate assessments and unverified assumptions...but not ok to admit to the truth of the matter......I had forgotten the rules here in the CE forum. |

I must admit, I like the second batch of good news much better---less inflamatory it seems since it didn't cause such a fuss!
Hi Cerek! You and Magik were chatting the other night when I popped in. I'll try to be a little more visible (or maybe just exotically lurk in the background) in future. Who knows, maybe I'll even find something worth commenting about! Or to referee. 20,000 dead in Iran according to the latest news just now due to earthquake. shakes head sadly Not good news.
