I have not yet experianced the cursor problem. All my battles have run smoothly so far. Do you guys delete most of your saved games keeping only 4 or 5 when you save? Not sure but could be because I keep my saved game area down to a minimum.

It's not in the battles, that's going very well, it's just on the campaign map.

It also has nothing to do with performances. It's just a bug that is apparently only affecting NVIDIA users.

You either have it or not. It's been like that since the first time I started the game.

I have a P4 3ghz with all the cool stuff possible. I could run Lineage 2 with all setting to the max and no lag except in the overcrowded towns. I can run the Rome: Total war battle engine no lag with everything maxed, but I'm defeated by a simple cursor in a campaign map...

Hmm, does anyone have the file for the MOD Luvian made? The link in his post seems to be dead and I can't find it anywhere else.

If i'm not mistaken you can make some alterations yourself in the gamedirectory, so you can unlock all nations. Well, not all...i still have no option to play as the Nubians (who became white men most mysteriously), or the Macedons, Dahcians, Thracians, and Spanish. You can Google on how to do it, it's not that hard.

Of course you could also beat the campaign to unlock em, that's how i did it.

Already did beat the campaign, but it didn't unlock all of the factions.

Found another mod that allowed me to play as all the factions, but it didn't show on the map where they start and such like the "normal" factions do, and like Luvian said he had added in his mod.

WOW!!! Something happened to me in my current game that never happened to me before. One of my armies that had no general won several battles and the captain became a 5 star general that I could adopt in to my family if I chose to.

It was just a pathetic little army as well consisting of left over units, I think it had a total of 17 men ( 3 different missile units). I would send it around the map looking for armies that consisted of no more than 60 men and it would defeat them. They were tiny but a very elite bunch so not so pathetic as I thought. Since I no longer produced those old units or just wanted to get rid of them since I could no longer refill there ranks I set them on what I considered sucicide missions so I would not have to pay them but they continued to win their battels.

I once had a highly experienced army like that. It succesfully fought off dozens of attacks from the Britons armies. Even after their leader died of old age it was still invincable. The good part about defending a city is that after the attack you can retrain your troops and replenish their numbers to the max.
