The apparent effect of wearing a nymph cloak is having one's charisma raised. However, at one point in the game, I accidently clicked on it in my items pouch and it seemed to have another use--I'm not sure what it is, but my character had to save vs. breath weapon against it. Does it have some sort of offensive use? (like, for example, charm person) Anyone?

You are correct: the Nymph Cloak (and Algernon's Cloak for that matter) give a +2 bonus to CHA, but also offer the Mage spell Charm Person. The charges are limited (but it has quite a lot of charges) though. My Paladin wears the Cloak, but I never use the spell, because I don't want the Cloak to wear out (no risks on this one!)...

the nymph cloak only works on the person you touch, while Algernon's cloak works from a great distance, lasts longer and has 65535 charges.

What exactly is this Algeron's cloack ? You're all talking about it, but I've never found it.

Algernon is a really fat guy you can find upstairs at one of the inns in Beregost - I think! You have to pick-pocket him for the cloak. I think it was the only time in the game when I actually used the pick-pocket ability.

Oh, Shit. I know. There's a guy (I believe in the Gate) who asks you to retrieve his cloack. I went there and threatend him so he gave me the cloack. I indentified it , but it did'nt have any SA's. So I just gave him the cloack.
Stupid.

Don't you hate it when a character you haven't finished with yet just vanishes (even when you're attacking him/her) if the plot happens to call for that character to "go." One of the headaches of the computer-based rpg (though there are many pleasures, too--it's a trade-off).

It's Pheirkas in BG (in the map with Entar Silvershield's estate) who'll ask you to get Algernon's cloak. DON'T give him that cloak but keep it. The XP from Pheirkas is lousy, and you'll want that cloak to charm the fisties and everyone else you can think of. If you play a low hit points party, this cloak is one of the first items to get. Never underestimate its power and the long distance it works from.

G.A.W.T. I dont know exactly what you mean, but the GVB causes important NPC to dissapear, so you dont get your exp and reward for quests, or there's just mo Sarevok to fight with.
is this what you mean, or do you mean NPC walking of the screen ? I just kill them quick when they do this so you'll get nice Items without reputation loses.

in the "escape from the F.F. dudes" I just nocked them out or entagled them.
It's always smart to keep sub-quest items. there always better than the money and exp you'll get from them.

I mean when NPCs walk off the screen--sometimes they move too quickly, and they won't fight back when attacked (per their script). Thanks!
