WHHHHHAAAATTTTT!!!???!!! You got that roll! That's almost an absolutely perfect roll, literally, MILLIONS to 1! I bet you were chuffed when you saw that!

I've rolled 102 ability points as my best (paladin or ranger, can't remember which), but the roll I'm proudest of is my ranger/cleric from IWD, with whom I rolled 91 ability points but with an 18/00 strength .

Stats aren't all that important though, beyond the essentials for each class anyway. I mean, what difference does it make if a mage has 11 or 19 str, or if a fighter has 21 int instead of 11? Characters don't become unstoppable because they got almost perfect rolls.

Call it the Rollplaying Factor (as Dundee once elegantly named it) .

My dwarf beserker I'm currently playing has the best stats I've ever rolled
str - 18/00 (yeah!)
dex - 17
con - 19
int - 12
wis - 15
cha - 10

As you can imagine with stats like that he is a fine warrior even better than the mighty Korgan I'm really enjoying playing him.

um actually quite a bit, a mage with 11 str can't carry squat, 19 can carry whatever the heck he wants, plus if he has to do melee he is a heck of alot more effective
alot of the stats effect saving throws
constitution can make a big difference
i always raise dex to 18, for better ac

it is an okay cheat to set your stats to all 18 as you can manage it anyway, just with hours of rolling cut out lol

Let us be more precise: It is not okay to set all your stats to 18 because you would have to roll for years and not for hours, but it is okay to set your stats so that you cut off 4 hours of rolling them
