Spell wordings - Page 2

Alteration spells say "amnis, temptus, harum" or similar... quick look in the latin dictionary tells me
"River, earth, well?!"

Abjuration spells say something like," Mordis Ahleeya Perez!" so it probably says something about protecting life. They all most likely have something to do with their schools of magic as some have said, but it's interesting to know that what those mages are saying isn't complete gibberish and that the creators were a bit creative in their work.

Isn't it more like "amnis temptus horo"? But I can't find a translation that makes sense (for me) all I could find was : shake of fear, stand stiff (I don't think this is the proper translation).

BTW which Latin dictionary is it cause I can't find it in the one I need for school? What looked most like harum had to do with fotune-telling [edit] or it could be a demonstrative pronoun.

Collins Latin Dictionary plus Grammar.

Ok, I agree with amnis, temptus, horo... except, I can`t find horo in my dictionary. But then, I can`t find what I translated into "huh ?? well ?? well ??" earlier; closest I can find is hora; meaning time.
Thus, Alteration = "amnis, temptus hora" = "river, earth time" which you have to admit fits in with alteration quite well [img]smile.gif[/img]

I've had latin for 5 years now , though only one teacher can actually speak it.
The language's grammar is very hard

Anywayz:
What i could see 'till now:

Mortis - death
Veritas ( not vertias) - Truth
Credo ( not reydo) - Believe ! ( command )
Tempus ( an alternative for Temptus) - Wind

But once i get home, I'll open my Harvard/Oxford-certified latin-dictionary,

I think the Illusion casting is "Veritas, Credo, Oculo" (meaning "Truth, Belief, Hidden"), or the illusion hiding reality (*truth and belief*).

"Carrio" (Vita, Mortis, Carrio) might mean "flesh", like carrion (rotting meat or rotting flesh)

The one for Divination is "Scio, Dichi, Hecto(?)" I'm not sure of the first, but "Dichi" would probably mean some version of "to speak".
