during a war. So that alone is enough to swing the vote. If you take down the flag, that means you gave in and don't care about the sacrifices our family veterans, let alone family immigrants have made. I really think in the election 4 years from now, it will all turn around. People will be tired of the war (Vietman for example), the economy will not be great, etc. So we will go back the other way. It's been that way for 300 years."

Question Mark

Privatizing Social Security to keep it solvent.
The appointment of 3 Supreme Court justices, all conservative and stict constructionists.

A chance at a lasting stability in Israel since Arafat is almost dead. (that plant-derivative poison the CIA uses is nasty, isn't it? )

Contrary to others' opinions, North Korea will finally be addressed as a threat
to regional security, but we'll have to work with China on this. On a related note, China will probably be willing to handle North Korea for us if we agree not to stop them from retaking Taiwan. (China is more like the US than anyone realizes.)

Much more oil exploration in Alaska.

We still won't have to submit to Kyoto or World Court/ICC.

Another major terrorist attack on American soil. My guess would be either Houston/Texas City or New Orleans, both major ports.

Other Middle Eastern countries won't work with or support any fledgling democracies in Afghanistan or Iraq, because they will be seen as puppets of America. We will have to contend with Saudi Arabia, the "ally" who hates us.

Okay, darn it. For those of you who wanted serious replies, I think Donut fairly nailed it. Except I think Azred called the number of Justices right -- 3 at most, maybe only 2. Also on the oil exploration in Alaska. -- which I will post separately.

Quite hard to be positive when there's nothing to be positive about thus far under Bush's reign as president.

First of all to corect your ignorance of democracy. US President do not "reign" and secondly there has been quite a LOT to be happy about his first term. Job growth and economy are on the upswing, a 2 wars have been fought and won and a good start on a Global War on terror has been made....all good news for americans....oh and my personal net worth has really started to take off since the Bush tax cuts.

What I see is Iraq and all of the middle east ending up the same way as things did in Vietnam. The US will pull out after all the work and construction is completed, another ruler will take his place and set people at each other's throats again.

You need to get some more historical education about Vietnam before you call Iraq anything like that. The ideological and political situation is far far different.

I think that Bush, within his boundless wisdom, will pull off a move to spark WWIII by attacking Korea because, again, of the threat of weapons of mass destruction we've still yet to find in the middle east. And this way, the US government will learn its lesson, and that is sometimes we need to stay the hell out of everyone else's business.

Korea wouldn't be WWIII it would be like boom...North who? because NK may have weapons but they can't deploy them effectively and would be totally anhiliated before they ever got the chance....but I digress. Bush isn't running the country in a vacuum, he has two other branches of government running things with him, and he has well educated staff and advisors...and recently leaked information shows that Bush' IQ may be higher than Kerrys

The idea the guy is stupid is a fallacy and a fantasy of the left with no substance to back it up but the ethnic bias against his accent.

Lannisters!
Sythe. You left out the rest of my post which was on topic. And where is your contribution. What's a Lannister? If that's some namecalling, best you do that via PM. Thanks.
LOL!!!!! It's no insult. It's a reference to Jamie and Cersei Lannister in Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice. They look alike, and have a bit of a relationship.

The book is well known to many of us Jonas, so the Lannister post is taking your post to the next level by suggesting that perhaps the Bush's are brother and sister per the book. The dude wasn't insulting you.

Doh. Well in that case, we just re-elected George & Laura Lannister. IMO.

I suspect he'll try to steer towards a Constitutional ban on Pretzels.
