I'm in Ald Ruhn right now, and no one will deal with me. All they say is that I have the mark of Zamithra (I think that is what it is called) and that it is obvious that I have made a pact I have not yet completed. Unless this is a big spoiler of some sort, what would cause this and how do I resolve it?

Never heard of it, or, to be honest, anything quite like it: the only time people have outright refused to talk with me is if I've caught something nasty, or they are part of a 'they need killin' quest for the Telvani...

Only thing I can think of, is that its part of a Daedric Shrine quest(a wild guess). Maybe something to do with the Morag Tong? Never heard of it either...but wait! Have you met a khajiit who gives you some exquisite clothes for delivering? IIRC, there are some bad effects if you decide to just sell them...

I think that's it - I took the quest to deliver the exquisite clothes. I didn't sell them, but I am wearing one of the shirts. I was trying to see if it would help my persuasion any. If it sticks around after taking off the shirt I'll be bent! It's not that the people won't talk to me, they just won't give services, sell spells, etc. And I really need to unload some stuff. By the way, anyone know where the person to give those to is? I've been all around the city and didn't find them. Would have thought the person would be in the clothier shop, but no luck.

I may be confusing 2 different missions-- I was thinking it started with an argonian-- but try giving it to the clothier 'under skar', meaning the one inside the giant crab shell, not the one outside of it.
IIRC, she will then offer you other 'work'-- someone has bought on credit and not paid the bill. Check with other merchants as well, the fella's made it a habit, and all you need to do it give him a drink and listen for a while, you can get the stuff back without any trouble, makes the merchants like you, helps your reputation score, I think... Take the clothes to the Bivale Teneran clothier shop in the Manor District in Ald'ruhn City. talk to him about those shirt and the mark will be gone.
