My character was turned into a vampire, is there a cure, or do I just play as is? It is rather nice having 131 strength, but, hard to play when everyone wants to kill you.

Yes there is. You can do it by going to ... let us know if you want to be spoiled.

But before doing that, be sure to enjoy the power which comes from being a vampire... you might long for it afterwards, even if you get stronger. There is a kind of unique feeling in having your stats maxed in the vampire's way.

B_part is right, since you're already a bloodsucker, you might just as well do some quests for one of the clans. I haven't done any of them myself, but i wouldn't be surprised if you get some useful items from it.

You can always get cured later in the game, and if there's a price on your head for whatever reason, you can have someone take care of that as well.

Out of curiosity [my guy is much to weak to take on the vamps at this point], how do you 'catch' vampireism?

Is it like daggerfall, where if they make physical contact, your in danger of becoming one?

I loved the werewolf 'cheat' in daggerfall, though getting cured was a bitch...

For Oruboris: I was near the northern coast at the southern set of the two Dwemer ruins along the Foyada Bani-dad. I have been there several times with several different characters, but, this was the first time this had ever happened. I don't know why this was the one, but, it was.

You must fight vampires until you get a message saying you got Emophilia something. You can the decide to get cured in 3 days, and nothing happens, or become a vampire after 72 hours.

Vampires have clans: you will automatically join the clan of the vampires who infected you. Each clan has different bonuses, so choose wisely: Here you can see everything you ever wanted to know about vampires.
As to the quest items, there is one ring, Marara's ring, which you can get only with a vampire quest, and it's very powerful. Eltonbrand can be got in that way only as well.
