Hi.
My third run through the game, I decided to get 1 new character instead of the same old (Vi and C-3PO).. I got the gadgeteer from trynton.. I read in some guide on RPCs (from gamefaqs) that he was quite good. Now I have all these items which are "gadgeteer only".. what do I do with them? Can I make weapons/armor/stuff for my other teammates.. can I merge/split items ? Any tips, or an url to a website with more information would be greatly appreciated.. thank you. |

go to www.geocities.com/jandrall for gadget recipes. He can also make doubleshot and tripleshot crossbows if the engineering skill is high.
Keep in mind, Madras will not go into Rapax Rift or Bayjin. I tried a party with no Gadgeteer and using Madras, but you can REALLY use him in those areas, but he won't go. I prefer to have a gadgeteer in the party.

Have to agree with GenX. While Madras can be fun to have along, you're better off in the long run with your own gadgeteer.
Of course, if all you want is some doubleshot crossbows, you can take him in long enough to make a few. His engineering isn't high enough for the triples, though. |

I can do the teleport-trick to get him into areas he doesn't want to enter, right?
btw, what happened to the search-function? Sorry for this thread, I know it's been up 100.000.000 times, but the search-function was not available. edit: And it's really too late for me to start a new party. Final Fantasy X is out 1st of April here in Europe, and yours truly will be the first one in the stores. [ 03-22-2002, 08:27 PM: Message edited by: [wcip]Angel ] |

i did the teleportation trick. it's not worthwhile since they effectively become hexed. ie: their stats go down drastically, just like the spell.

And not only are they hexed, they whine and complain the whole time you're in the area. Unless you want to put up with that and diminished abilities, you're better off not forcing him in.
