Assuming this guy means >computer< rpgs, I vote for the Baldur's gate series.

Out of all rpgs, computer or not, the answer would be shadowrun.

And by the way... The only thing I think of hearing Everquest is a blonde babe in a "nice to animal clothing style" that IMHO is not exactly what I would call gay... Unless of course you mean "gay" as in Fun, or "Gay" like in something I don´t understand and have to hamper down on...
