Woo hoo, I get to be 100th poster...
@Lady Z, if you call one of the major salvage yards, they will be computer linked, and can search the entire country to find a part. Sounds crazy, but try ebay.

Thing is I dunno what to type in to search for LOL. "Window motor assembly?"

Well so much for using the AC in my car, tried it today since it doesn't now make my car run like a tractor. Was exceptionally hot today, maybe it'll be OK when it's not so hot, dunno, sigh. Either way, I left work today, turned the AC on, and didn't get 5 minutes down the road when I looked down at my thermostat and it was slowly moving up, went past farther than I've ever seen it go, not into the red or anything, but still! So I turned the AC off and it dropped back instantly. So feh, no AC for me!

Oh and halfway home I could smell rubber LOL. Maybe it's the new parts I had put in frying? Either way was disturbing, hope nothing catches fire LOL, sheesh man. All that money spent and still I suffer and worry LOL, it never ends!

Luckily I supposedly have to go one more day, tomorrow, of supreme furnace weather LOL, then it drops into the 80's on Thursday! FFFFF Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd have them look at it again if that keeps smelling like your new belts are burning or the ac makes the engine temp rise like that! Wonder if they forgot to do something like put a bolt back or fill the radiator or something with all that work they were doing last time?

That's a nice camera, but if your taking high def. pictures you might need a bigger memory card. I know when we bought our camera (when we were in Florida, the man ended up selling us a camera over $1000 for $400, weird!) we bought memory cards too just for that extra space .

WoW has broken *sighs* I got kicked from the server, and then I couldn't connect. Then the server disappeared from the server list, and now I can log in, but on my server all my characters have disappeared.

Blizzard have said they are working on the problem, but they are sure taking their time!

Shame I have absolutally nothing better to do at the moment, so I'm extremely bored.

Actually, yeah, that might do it. Be sure to specify which window, as it will make a difference. As to the rubber smell, it sounds to me like your ac compressor isn't turning, and it could be the belt rubbing on the pulley. I'd say, from here, and not being able to check for sure, that your coolant lvl is fine, if not, the temp gauge wouldn't have gone back down, especially on a hot day. If your ac compressor is on top, start the car, and turn on ac, then run to the front and look and see if the whole assembly on the unit is turning or not. If not, you need a new compressor, or a remanufactured one, possibly even a salvage one would be ok, but not sure I'd trust one. The first two options are the best, and not just because a shop will make more money either.
If you get the salvage one, and it's worn out, it could break in a few weeks, or even days, causing you to have to do it again.
What year, make and model is your car, and what engine?
