Importing characters...

Just a quick question about importing characters from BG1 to BG2, is it only the char's stats that get transfered over? or does the equipment currently held by the player also get transfered over?

When importing characters, only your stats are transfered. Your items are removed.

Actually there is a trick that allows you to keep equipment from BG1. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The only legitemate Item you can transferr from BG I to BG II are the golden pantaloons... all the other items are lost.

Actually Annatar, if you've got the Claw of (this is going to be spelled wrong) Klazgorath (wow that's REALLY badly spelled), it will replace the helm of balduran in Jon's dungeon.

In other words, don't have the Claw of Kazgaroth on your main character when you Export him/her.

Also, it's been my experience that only Exported characters or saved games made after installing BG2 would transfer correctly; In all other instances, I had to reroll their stats all over again. Poopie. So after installing BG2, you might be wise to Re-export your character from BG1.
