Well, that was terribly FUN!
I'll have to start saving pocket change to make sure I can have the full game by the end of the year LOL!
So, did I miss anything? I couldn't get into the locked doors...one that says you have to buy the game and one that "takes a special item."
I killed the guy that looks like a no-eared rabbit, the one you can talk to and trade with (Burz) and the game crashed when I tried to leave that area so I re-loaded and didn't kill him the second time. (Thought he might have had more than a musket LOL)
I also did not realize that the auto save feature would wipe out the original saved game and got a little farther than I should have before changing roles and playing around with new careers.
oopsies!
Anyway, what can those of you who played it and finished it tell me about what you did and what you found. The swallower was cool! I encountered metallic slimes too which were tough to beat (for slimes), the undead head cracked me up and the roaches were a let down!
So, I leave the floor, er, the thread open to anyone else who wants to comment or tell me I missed some cool stuff so that I can go back and play it again lol

The safe that you needed a special item for - there is a key that you get from the statue with the skull .

Oh, and YES, the demo is too short - but fantastic. If you thought the roaches were wooses, did you have the 10 HP king or the 80 HP kind. They gave me one hell of a problem when they surrounded me while camping (note to self - find a corner). Argh, what are you saying, I will have wiped the original save - Argh, I was going to play again. May have to reinstall from the download.

Thanks for the spoiler! I knew that there should be more to playing than just getting to look at the safe! Not sure I remember which statue you are referring to, but if I can't find it I'll be back to ask for specifics.
I must have had the 10HP kind of roaches because one blow on the piercing pipes and they were all toast from across the room.
I only camped twice, once outside on top of the hill where the crabs were and once inside, I forget where, but we slept peacefully, wherever it was.
I think I am going to reinstall and save the starting game in one slot before I begin again. Play around with role changing and the gadgeteer this time. I'll make a thief that can steal that musket too LOL

Wow, that was FUN! But I guess it was too short if I could finish it in one day. I nominate the Swallower as W8's Amazoni Mantraps! It took 3 tries and all I had (including my three cherry bombs) to dispatch. But I would have liked to kill him once with at least one of my characters "swallowed" so I could see if they *popped* out after. Unfortunately, once it started a-swallowin', I soon lost my whole party.

Some comments:
Boy, that whiney French ranger sure dies often!
Flicker flubs more spells than Rincewind.
The Ratkin reminds me of John Luvitz.

BTW, where is the safe key? The only statues I found were the one by the pool, and the one in the small square Egyptian-looking room. Was it near one of these?

9 dyas to go!!

Or, where you stand when you click!

I did whip on the Swallower with a character swallowed once and your character merely reappears in their slot. It was my fighter, who said afterward "Don't you guys let that happen again!" LOL

poor moni, you had the most boring char get swallowed! you really must experience it with more than one getting swallowed.

evenstar was going on in a philosphical bent, claiming that it was all an illusion.... and that was while ulf was wiping ooze off his face and outta his mouth. he managed to growl something to her about what she could do with her illusions. LOL!!

iona was irate at everyone for leaving in the middle of battle, accusing them of being cowards.

then, everyone turned to me and basically told me what i could do with my leadership ability.

I just LOVE some of those comments when one of the party members die or is ressurected, and a lot of the other ones as well, someone should make a thread with all of the most hilarious ones, could become a permanent part of the DD, each issue comes with the ten most humorous character quotes during certain situations, issue one could be: "Ressurection quotes" then maybe in issue two of the DD you could have "Death of partymember quotes." or something, would be an added element of fun.
