Where is this Lighthouse everyone's been raving about? I can't find it.

Thank you in advance

Who has been raving about a lighthouse? I follow this board rather closely and the latest mention of a lighthouse was in the "Helm of Balduran - where is it" thread. The lighthouse mentioned in that thread is found in Ulgoth Beard north of Baldurs Gate and is only ornamental without any connection to anything.
The other lighthouse (as mentioned above) is found in the area with the sirines cave. There is a tiny quest associated with it, though you can easily miss it. Even if you complete it.

Ummmm, just a guess with the limited info, but Sigmar may have been referring to the lighthouse references made within the game. I recall, villagers and the like mentioning it in rumors, I think. But it's been awhile so I could be wrong.

I think you'll be approached in Baldur's Gate with a quest to kill the sirens, but only if you have a low reputation.

SPOILERS...

The quest for the Sirens' cave is "offered" to you by a NPC located in a region close to the area where you can find both the lighthouse and the cave in quaestion. It does not depend on your reputation. But you can visit the cave even if you do not accept the NPC (and quest) in your party.
South of the lighthouse you will find a mother who you is desperatly in need of help... I hope that helps.

I've played this game quite a few times, and I always play good. I've never been offered a quest to kill sirens.

Nor have I, but I also play a good party (PC is Neutral Good). I don't need any quest to kill sirens, though... if they raise those hands and start chanting....it's on!!!! (And Dynaheir can usually get a Magic Missile on them before that Dire Charm gets off...)

Question Mark

There is a guy in one of the houses in the Docks district of Baldur's Gate who offers you a little quest to kill some sirens; he offers this regardless of your alignment.

I always visit the Lighthouse map, because that is where you find Safana. In my opinion, Safana is a much more interesting character than Imoen; I always dump Imoen for Safana.
