ÖK. So I finally decided I should get myself the entire Neverwinter Nights pack (original + SoU + HotU) and allow myself to play Escape from Undermountain. Of course, the easiest way to get all three is buying the Platinum edition. But I've searched the web (I can't find it in stores here in the Netherlands) and keep reading that the Platinum edition won't allow me to play online (because of a bug or something?). Is this true? Should I wait until Bioware has made a patch for this and then buy it?

What? I have it and I just tried playing it with Stormy a week ago. No problem.

That's why I asked. Various articles I've read on the internet say otherwise though. How did you acquire the Platinum edition, Bahamut?

The reason you see these articles is because when the platinum edition was released it was shipped with patch version 1.63.

Everyone else on the internet was using patch version 1.62 so people using the platinum edition couldn't connect to internet servers.

All this has been fixed with the release of patch 1.64. So when you get the platinum edition patch straight away and you should be fine.

When you want to connect to EfU click on the link in my sig.

Okay, a quick google search made me learn that there is a "Deluxe" edition in the Netherlands (even available at a store nearby!) which contains NWN + SoU + HotU. Price is 40 euro's which is almost the equivalent of 40 dollars (I think).

What irks me though, is that the Platinum edition gives me NWN + SoU + HotU and modules created by Bioware. Now my question, understandably is the following: should I buy this "Neverwinter Nights Deluxe" or order the Platinum edition over the internet. Other than the modules, I have found no differences between the two.

I acquired my own copy by buying it on a store. We have one store here that sells all original games... I mean after all this place, you can buy platinum edition for as cheap as $.50. Of course it's fake.

Still waiting for an answer on this one.. The only thing I want to know is whether or not the modules make a difference.

Not really no. The modules you get with the platinum edition arn't as good as some of the online ones anyway. You can download HUNDREDS of modules for single player use.

From what I can tell both Platinum and Deluxe have "Original game modules from the developers of Neverwinter Nights". And the same description on the whole, which makes it likely they are one and the same.

Differences may be in the presence of a paper manual (none in Deluxe, possibly one in Platinum but I haven't seen it confirmed), and the amount of CDs/DVDs. And the box.
Prices vary greatly, you might get it for less than 40 euros if you search for it.
