That battle looked so cheesy and overpowered its unbelievable.

Most people would have given up on that Cyric encounter right away. Well played.

Let me just add one personal thing. Playing these no reloads games with this fantastic game is just so exciting experience. I knew there was this Cyric encounter waiting for me but I said what the hell let's try and do it. I have SoTM I can hide every second.

The fun is incredible - it's a tension, excitement, fear, .. all together! Sometimes I pause the game for a couple of minutes to think of all the options. Have I forgotten something? Is there anything else I can do? A potion, a scroll, an item? Really cool.

This year I played Far Cry, Doom3 and HL2. I played those games only once, and here I am playing BG2 for XXX time. This game is incredible. And I see I am not alone. If you just check to see how many mods are already done and how many are still in progress, it's unbeleviable.

I can only salute and bow to the creators of this game.

Just my 0.02.

Poison encounter

Camembert decided to check the famous Watcher's Keep but as soon as he arrived in the area some strange force teleported him into a cave full of smelly creatures:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/6439/poison14cl.jpg

They said they would wait. Hmm, let's do it when I'm ready thought Camembert when he was teleported out again. He checked his gear and then rested for 8 hours. And yes, when he woke up, they teleported him in again. This time the fight was inevitable:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/9949/poison27ry.jpg

Camembert equipped the cheesy staff and noticed that only one enemy could see through invisible. That's a good start:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/8114/poison32fo.jpg

But somehow the poison cloud had some homing device in it and would follow Camembert wherever he ran. OK, let's lure it on one end of the room so that he can stay out of it on the other side:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/7366/poison41og.jpg

Camembert remembered that they were talking about poison so he equipped the Amulet of Ilmater which granted poison immunity. And it worked:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/1299/poison51ug.jpg

Now it was the time to show his skills. First he summoned 3 elementals from the Staff of Elemental Mastery and running behing Bloodcaster he activated Improved Haste from Bracers of Blinding Strike, waited one round and activated the deadly Assassination HLA. Then he equipped Fulcrum (which grants Grandmastery ) and Celestial Fury +5 and had 9 attacks per round all doing quintuple damage :
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/5483/poison67bz.jpg

This is what follows :
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/9011/poison73ts.jpg

Fallowmist was immune to enchanted weapons so Camembert dug deep into his Bag of Holding to find the first katana he used early in his days. Yeah, still under Assassination the unenchanted katana sliced like butter through Fallowmist:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/6041/poison86ik.jpg

Then Camembert turned his attention to Bittersnake:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/9470/poison91lt.jpg

He used Assassination again since it lasted only one round:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/4421/poison103tt.jpg

That was the end of Bittersnake:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/5656/poison114vh.jpg

Now it was time to deal with Redspike:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/6805/poison124if.jpg

Never change the winning game :
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/5181/poison137nv.jpg

Uhh, Redspike struck VERY hard. It's time for a tactical retreat:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/3209/poison145yj.jpg

Aaahhh, that's much better:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/8326/poison159nn.jpg

Redspike was soon history and only Bloodspear remained. It was time to bring Wagi into play:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/2108/poison169xb.jpg

PFMW on and his deadly Bloodbane was useless for 4 rounds. And one more Assassination ability used to chunk the last of the poison challengers:
http://img90.exs.cx/img90/1824/poison175ig.jpg

Camembert picked the Bloodbane just in case he might need it sometime. It belonged to the collection of the cheesiest weapons and Camembert was a proud owner of many.

The Ritual

Camembert noticed a small yellow guy standing in the vicinity. He was looking for help. It was some strange Ritual that had to be disrupted. And there were many defenders:
http://img145.exs.cx/img145/5209/ritual12qg.jpg

Camembert agreed after a good rest to renew his skills. He was teleported in the Glade area and Pontifex gave him a lot of protective items:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/1626/ritual26hr.jpg

Camembert disappeared using the cheesy staff, summoned some animals and scanned the area. Wow, here is the first hidden attacker:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/263/ritual32qf.jpg

Soon many more attackers followed and Camembert used the staff many times to escape them and return with a vengeance. But there were still more coming:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/7175/ritual41kx.jpg

Each battlestation had it's leader and this one was history:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/8805/ritual55gv.jpg

Camembert was finally able to deal with the skull after he has killed all the defenders:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/5607/ritual65jg.jpg

Rinse & repeat:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/3942/ritual79wa.jpg

Another leader was victim to traps:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/4880/ritual86mw.jpg

This guy kept disappearing so Camembert detected him once more and shot him with a Kuo-toa bolt which stunned him. Then he returned with a deadly backstab:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/5820/ritual99cf.jpg

Another skull gone:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/70/ritual104rq.jpg

And another leader gone:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/4965/ritual111xj.jpg

And the skull again:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/127/ritual126as.jpg

Only one more to go:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/3208/ritual131lz.jpg

Yes, the last one:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/9735/ritual148hd.jpg

Camembert was now able to approach the ritual area:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/6449/ritual154xl.jpg

He hit the countess once and disrupted her casting:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/1339/ritual169gl.jpg

But something seemed wrong. Anyway a lot of dead bodies were a testament to the difficult task:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/1111/ritual176la.jpg

It was time to return to Pontifex. He may be very angry...

Pontifex is a dr....?

Camembert set an ambush of traps and protected well before talking to Pontifex:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/6306/ponti14bt.jpg

Yep, he was angry. Surely Camembert will be able to handle this little guy:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/8225/ponti21po.jpg

OH, NO! The guy transformed into the Lord of Cheese - the Yellow Dragon! And he started his attack with a time stop! Luckily Camembert survived the first attack:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/1713/ponti38fz.jpg

He then ran towards his trap ambush but instead of the dragon a stupid Mordekainen sword followed him and took all the damage:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/6162/ponti44wu.jpg

Pontifex had a gazzilion of protections and Camember needed to dispel them quickly. Yes, he got a good hit:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/2935/ponti54sj.jpg

Now it was time for Camembert to stop time:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/650/ponti63hl.jpg

But the Lord of Cheese had a contingency plan for these situations! But not only that - he himself casted another Time stop and Camembert didn't count on that:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/8763/ponti78er.jpg

He had no problems destroying Camemebert without protections:
http://img158.exs.cx/img158/8059/ponti89vt.jpg

And so the story of no reloads ends.

(I haven't fought Pontifex for a long time and I forgot that he has 3 Time stops. And you need to be under Stoneskin or even better under PFMW to be able to survive his attacks, especially if he is Improve Hasted. I then reloaded and played him again and found out, that he is immune to Spike trap damage! So after a couple a reloads I finally won using PFMW before every Time stop and then using Time stop scroll, dispeling his protections with SoTM and GWW-ing him with Fulcrum and FOA.)

I decided to try and end SOA with Camembert and see how he fares against Jonny.

I must say it was an exciting game and I enjoyed every moment of it.
Since this cheese has totaly overwhelmed me I intend to return to my "Clean NRL" but with even more restrictions. No Fury, no FOA, no Carso, No SoTM, no DoE, no Vecna, ...

Man that sucks big time. I would love to see you survive this fight. (Četudi izgubim jurja)
Oh well.
Good luck again. And again, and again, and again...

I suggest you try to win ToB too. Just for fun.
