Whoa! In principle I agree, it was overkill to use Christ in a post against some rather disgusting means of rat-killing, but the tone of your reply is a bit much in my opinion. Fljotsdale isn't Christian but she has studied the Christian faith and does understand some of what we purport to practice.

Just to be clear here, I may not agree with what Fljotsdale says sometimes, but I support her right to say it. She's not flaming or arrogant or abusive in any posts I've seen. Even though we may disagree on a subject, she never intentionally inflicts abuse on me or anyone, at least that I've seen. Telling her she can't respond by using examples of a faith she doesn't believe in, isn't necessary. Why not just ask her to clarify her point? Or show her how she is wrong because she doesn't understand the faith?

I have nothing of the sort to say to you G'Kar, and I rather respected the post of yours the other night. I had a problem with Flots being an atheist and using Christ in her post to attack another, that is all.

As for other's beliefs, you need to point that finger at others on the board before you point it at me!

In answer to your question, though, if Americans did the "same", i.e. deliberately crashed their planes into the world trade center, yes, I would say the exact same thing about them, namely that one could call them many things, but not cowards.

If you will recall, this thread was started by you crowing happily over the fact that our armed forces were now engaged in combat.

My answer was not in regards to whether we should be in such combat at the moment, but was rather about your attitude.

War, even for the best causes, is not something that should be entered with a cheer and a tingly sensation of happiness all over.
