Then you can't complain and your prior post to this has no basis.

Namely this:

I know dplax from elsewhere and I know that he's not comfortable doing this. I also know that this is definitely his last resort, and that if there would be anything he could do to save and the game and your participation he would.

But I also think that for the other players, who write an hour over their post, it's not nice to see one-liner posts.

RP is like writing a story with a lot of people. To write RP you have to think about a lot of things, like setting, character, dialogue, and lots and lots more.

After discussing this with Patrick I would like to offer you some more personal guidance. If you are really willing to improve on your RP that is.

We would be talking about different RP techniques and about how to work out your characters. It would costs you and me both some time (maybe even a lot of time) but if you are willing to learn, I'm willing to attempt teaching.

I also know that you haven't seen any writing from me here, but you could have a look on the Pen (www.themightypen.net) if you want to see some of what I've written. It's nothing amazing, but it's no one-liners

DrowArchmage, I had mentioned in my PM to you several days ago that something like this might occur if you did not meet the standard that everybody else in the game was expecting.

In the Forum Rules, it states that as a moderator, I will side the the Game Master as long as the Game Master is not breaking a rule. I think in this case, dplax and those that you game beside have tried to warn you of getting dumped from the game if you did not show a desire to make things better on your part. It looks like you simply must accept the consequences.

Sweetcherrie has offered to assist you, but I had offered to help you too and you never took my offer. It will be intesting to see if you take hers.

DrowArchmage...we all want you in our games. We want to game with you and everyone else that shows an interest to play. However, it is up to you to choose which games you are capable of gaming in depending on your repertoire of abilities, not the other way around. The game does not adjust to fit your limits.

In the future, choose games that your abilities correspond with until which time you can show the improvement necessary to play at a higher level.

By the way, if you really want to continue in this game, I suggest you show dplax why he should take you back, for you are already out of the game. Its too late to ask him to keep you. Prove to him that you can game at his level of expectancy, and there is a chance that he will take you back at entry level again.

I would like to add my DAM I've scanned a few of the other thread where you have participated and have seen very brief posts. I'm hardly perfect about spelling, and generally only write my posts in Word if IW has been crashing frequently or timing out alot, that doesn't mean I don't spot check for the most glaring spelling errors, but that is a relatively minor thing compared to content. Brief posts are fine if you're trying to rush a scene and get to the next area, my next post in the main LOF game will likely be rather brief just to catch up with the time I've lost due to classes and a wife that's always on the compy at home. But if you look at the average post they tend to be longer. I posted some advice on the first page, get under your characters skin, use all 5 senses, when you think of a mountain meadow what does it bring to mind for all senses, by the same token, what about a gas station bathroom, bringing in sensory details can bring vibrancy and a life you never knew existed to your posts, and sometimes (rather frequently for me) my posts write themselves, often away from what I had been trying to get to happen (I still get from A -> B but the route usually changes frequently).

If you want help I would be more than happy to assist in any way I can, I don't bear anyone on the RP forum any malice, and I'm here to be of assistance if I can.

Just to let you all know: neither me, nor Sweetcherrie, nor Larry has heard anything back from DrowArchmage, so I shall soon be removing his character from the game.

Are we to assume his character never existed or what? It did not get accepted?

Assume that after Armus told him that he could go with them to the tavern that he never made it...I'll take care of the rest in a post later today.

Right-o. I'll let you NPC the character then and interact as normal. (or ignore, as Aneuhl is prone to do so)

Starting early tomorrow morning I shall be gone for a week of skiing, and most probably won't have internet access, in my absence feel free to interact, get to know each other's characters better. Feel free to use the innkeep as needed.

Morg: if you so wish go and meet the others at the tavern with a guard, he would be able to point out Armus for you at the tavern.

ok, I'll try and get something up tomorrow, I've had a very busy past few days and have had little time for posting for a character that requires significant effort for me.
