Best of 5 sounds great.

As for rewards I'm still trying to talk this out with Z.

Some of the things I'm thinking of are.

1. A statue of the winner somewhere in the game

2. a one of a kind item for the winner. Never to be found in the game.

What would you lot want as a prize ?

There are things that those of us that have been around a while tend to go for, but in the long run, you'd be hard pressed to find any two chars equipped exactly the same. I would imagine that there are a lot of them that are close, but not the same.
Maybe so, but wouldn't having *some* of our characters with standard equipment show who is better, rather than who has the better gear?
I agree it will work either way, I'm just trying to even things out, and it was only an idea

Statue or shrine area, deep in the Undermountain, would be my choice. Maybe deep in the Dwarven ruins or at the end of the proving grounds or somewhere like that. I can dream, right?

I of a kind item would be nice, but it would have to be suited to that character, and no one else would really ever know about it. Unless you happened to lure them into a pvp area...
That was kinda why I suggested the no magic gear thing way up on page one. Doing that, it's the char build, not the equipment. My planned entry is limited in her weapon choice, as I've only found one really Undermountain type kukri. It's nice, but doesn't hold a candle to some of the other weapons she's been selling, or just leaving lay as useless to her. Also, I wasn't trying to be mean or hurtful by what I said, I hope you didn't take it that way...

The thing is, character builds depend on the equipment available. A sorcerer build for EfU would be totally different from one I'd use in a low magic environment, for example.
Thus, items and character design are not unrelated, and it could even be argued that testing the EfU builds thoroughly is impossible without allowing the use of any and all equipment available in the undermountain.

Of course, I don't quite agree with 'any and all', and I'll be victorious items or no ( ), but I do think it's important to remember it's not all that black and white.

As for the reward, though I hate to get ahead of myself, I've been shopping around for a throne of skulls for some time now but they just don't seem to make them any more these days. I'd quite like a seat in the arena where I can watch your battered and broken bodies decay in the months after I'm done with you lot

Good, I was only noting that, for example, I have several different fighters going, and they all use different gear. As for the best of five, that may give Legolas a chance to beat my chosen champion once... She just recently defeated a certain wizard on lvl 12 solo, with no dispels, and no harms...Just beat him down, even though it did take a few minutes, like 30!! Oh, no death, and only two heals, while overcoming his spell protections
