MagiK, since you are jumping a lot, I won't hesitate to do the same and point out that:
i.e. = latin "id est" or "that is"
e.g. = latin "exempli gratia" or "for example"
You meant e.g. rather than i.e.
How's that for offtopic??

LOL, she just doesn't think that you should be able to buy AK-47 clones like the sniper used. Have to agree. That and my pro-choice opinions make Dennis think of us as liberal.

i.e. = in example

I am begging a thousand pardons for using the wrong latin abreviation (or whatever those are called) I actually did know the difference however I am dividing my attention between posts and an interactive web teleconference but thanks for pointing it out to me. Err I was on topic for the comment that was addressed to me

Have it been announced how large a percentage of voters actually showed up - I've only heard an estimate (below 40%)

Concerning the GoP victory. I look forward with interest to seeing what they'll use their majority for - or perhaps that should be trepidation

LOL, LoA, you know I am not allowed to comment on anything like that. Ar-Cunin, I just read that the rest of the world is "stunned and shocked" that the US public is so approving of the president that they persist in trying to perceive as a dimwit. I still think that one of GWB's greatest assets is that his opponents, here and abroad, seriously underestimate him.

The voter turn outs that I have heard have been larger than has been normal. One of the benefits of the 2000 elections was that it illustrated that every vote could be important.
