i.e. = in example

the latest update form MSNBC is that the Republicans have 51 seats, Dem's have 47, 1 indep, and 1 undecided (woohoo my first on topic response so far)

Concerning the GoP victory. I look forward with interest to seeing what they'll use their majority for - or perhaps that should be trepidation

Ar-Cunin, I just read that the rest of the world is "stunned and shocked" that the US public is so approving of the president that they persist in trying to perceive as a dimwit. I still think that one of GWB's greatest assets is that his opponents, here and abroad, seriously underestimate him.

The voter turn outs that I have heard have been larger than has been normal. One of the benefits of the 2000 elections was that it illustrated that every vote could be important.
