Old time fan of classic crpg's... Wizardry is my favorite series (and I include Wizards and WArriors as a Wizardry since its DW Bradley).

I liked ultima as well!

my fav RPG series would have to be the ol' Bard's Tale series. These were the first real CRPG's and in my mind, are still up there amongst the best.

The orginal ad&d forgotten realms games, starting with pool of radiance & I think it finished with pools of darkness.
That Phantasy star series was great too.
followed be Baldurs gate then final fantasy.
