I always get blamed for someone getting killed. Mainly because I killed them...but still...

Mellagar, I 'm a bit worried about you. Have you considered anger management therapy??

well, yes, technically so... but there are also obviously different races who specialize in each type. namely, khajiits are good thiefs/assassins, while bretons make some of the best casters. you can cross class if you like, but it makes the first half of the game somewhat difficult until you can work up your skills to a level that they would be automatically if you selected the race which best fits the skillset you are looking for.

Ah, yes, yes, young grasshopper, 'difficult' is the key ingredient. Once you have played this game through several times, then you will enjoy the difficulties of playing against the critters abilities.
For it is way to simple to create a critter of astronomical propotions when playing into the said critters direct abilites. It is whence thy play directly against them, is when you will finish the game at level 40 or so.

yeah, well, i'll give you that the game is easier by playing to your species abilities, but thats what a difficulty slider set to 100 is all about, right?

Touche. However, once beyond level 22 or so, and Str somewhere in the 200's, the difficulty slider has nil effect. Actually I never knew it went under 100.

hahaha, yeah, but my strength isnt that high. i finally saw fit to train in heavy armor, but my skill is still too low, so i can't make as powerful of enchantments using daedric armor to increase my strength. the best strength artifact i have is a ring of insane strength for plus 1-47 pts constant effect. i know i could do an amulet too, but i have that space reserved for a constant effect healing amulet
![]() and yes, i realize that at this point even on difficulty 100 i am nearly invincible. i only say nearly because once i got knocked out by a low level character (somehow paralyzed me and from some bug i couldnt treat it). anyway, she paralyzed me permanently somehow, and then beat me with her sword until it had been completely used up (condition = 0) then proceded to beat me with her fists until i had gone through both sets of armor. still, my amulet of healing kept me alive. so i was like, SWEET. my block skill had gone up 15 ranks, and my light and unarmored had both gone up 10 and 7 (respectively). after an hour or so of sitting there paralyzed but with full health being beaten by fists (even though naked) i realized that my character wasnt ever coming to again, but would forever have to sit there and watch himself get pummeled. so, sigh, i had to reload. the only other time i've died recently was when i summoned a golden saint to trap in azura's star and used my blight staff (does 200 poison damage + 1-16 pts normal damage). well, golden saints not only resist magicka, on rare occasions they can reflect it. before i knew what was happening, i had hit the golden saint three times with the blight staff, dealing it between 3 and 48 damage, and dealing myself (from the reflected spell which for some reason i did not resist) a guarunteed 600 points of damage. needless to say, i lost that fight. fortunately, i always save before summoning a golden saint to soul trap.
