quote- bgtutu - a mod tool that converts BG2 to BG1 (both installed required) enabling you to play BG1 with the BG2 graphics

why the hell would you want to do that? the monsters look cooler in bg2, but since the original character designer of bg1 died before the making of bg2 (bg2 is dedicated to him) all the character design (i reckon) is way worse in bg2.

Ominae, You misunderstand, BG1tutu is a mod that makes BG2 into BG1. Or more acurately puts BG1 on the BG2 engine. Improving graphics and the like. It also allows you to take a BG2 class through the BG1 story line from the 0 exp mark and on. From my standpoint its an excellent mod. BGT is a little better if only they could fix the download issue and simplify the install procedure.

Oh yeah,

I believe you can get something that once belonged to your half-brother early in bg2...
yep thats right, its at the start of bg2 anyway. So if anyone was thinking it would be cool to get it to take it into bg2, theres no point.

About TOTSC, when i try and load my final save, its supposed to take your character (exactly as he was after defeating sarevok) and put him/her in ulgoths beard, however, my one just loads my character just BEFORE i went into the final area (just outside the temple) and i have to fight sarevok again, then when i beat him, the game finishes and i dont go to ulgoths beard, i just have to load that final save again. Once again, no character in ulgoths beard OR with the experience of the final battle.

WHY IS THIS?

OHHHH, that sounds like a wicked mod, sorry, i thought you meant it made characters and monsters look like the bg2 ones, only in bg1. So your effectively playing bg1 (without bg2) but with your characters etc looking like they do in bg2. (and does anyone else reckon the inventory screen and character avatars look gay as all F*!%$ in bg2 (other than the fighter and male elf avatars, they look pretty wicked)

Not sure about the ToTSC issues. My best advice would be to take your team to Ulgoth's beard prior to battling Saervok. Do all that then ice the big guy. As far as the paper dolls in the inventory screen in BG2. I usually don't pay much attention to them, but when I do, yes they are horrible. Anything not a fight type class looks like a dried out old coot.

(no offence intended towards any who feel they fit that description. It simply doesn't seem befitting an adventurer. I mean even Gandalf looked healthier than that, and he's well over 100.)

Just had a brainstorm. Did you run the MConvert on your save file?

yes, yes i did, although THIS time through (biting the bullet and NOT cheating for gods sake) i installed totsc before starting, so should i be able to beat sarevok and load a game in Ulgoths Beard with my party as they were AFTER i killed sarevok? and why dont they just let you keep going and pick up sarevoks stuff and go back outside instead of showing you the end movie with TOTSC? is there a mod letting you do that anywhere?

I think it only starts you in Ulgoths beard if its a party that you beat the game with prior to installing TotSC. Not sure though. To the best of my knowledge there is no mod that lets you do any such thing.
