As for the question at hand; I have to go with Ilmater, the crying god.

A deity who willingly takes on the suffering of the poor and the helpless is a deity worthy of respect and worship.
[/QUOTE]I'm not actually religious, so I don't have any idea why I spell God with a capital G. Lolth is a Goddess, but doesn't willingly take on the suffering of the poor, and yet she is still worshipped by the entire drow civilisation (except Viconia, my dear mother).

As to answering my own question, I'd have to pick Cyric, anything that can kill the Lord of Murder must be worthy of respect.

There are reasons why Lolth is worshipped, but only for one reason really, fear. I had read before that Lolth puts the Drow through tests from birth to adulthood, all ranging from tests to see if your heart is of pure evil, to battle a rival merchant, or leading an army to victory. If you fail you die, if you pass all tests, you have two fates. One, you live out your life free from Lolth's intervention, or you become one of her personal Driders.

Lolth does this because she is attempting to create an ultimate race of warriors, devoid of any good, to make the fallen elves strong enough to take on their counter parts.

So says Dungeon Magazine, Greyhawk and the Forgotten Realms.

MYSTRA FOR SURE! Come on, she IS magic itself!

Furthermore, I can agree with the Eilistraee part, cause her clerics dance around naked at night as prayers.

Sharessians (god of cats, sensuality) are cool too, they're idea of a party is a full orgy with wine and all. (and yes, that means SEX, I once had a fellow partymember with PnP DnD accidently walk into one of the Sharess temples at night when there was a party and he was drunk, at the same time, my sorcerer scored with TWO drow Eilistraeeans at the same time! )
