Well, yes I noticed it went down when my torrent stopped at 5am on Saturday morning. It really sucks, because Suprnova had the biggest database, and also there are a couple of other sites down too. It isn't the end of Bittorent, but the next few months will be the deciding factor, since bandwith will be strained and all other torrent sites will crawl. A few other good ones are Lokitorrent, Filelist.org, and bi-torrent, but none really compare to Suprnova.

Damn... Bit Torrent was (and is still is) the best file sharing system in the world. I would have tought that since the BT sites aren't actually distributing any actual files rather than the tracker files, they would not be technically illegal.
On the other hand, it is easier to host a tracker server on foreign soil because of the small bandwidth usage, the lawsuits in the end will not do the RIAA and MPAA any good in the long run when all of the operators shifted their servers elsewhere. For the time being, servers that only host p0rn trackers are relatively safe from harassments for now. [ 12-21-2004, 10:28 AM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ]

Couldn't they just stop distributing movies instead of closing for good?
