I like a lot of the 'New World' wines that are about at the moment, although I also like Italian wines (Bardolino & Valpolicella especially).
I was once told by my ex-lodger that Chilean reds don't give you a hangover because of the altitude at which the vines grow. We had to test it out of course - 2 bottles each were sacrificed in the name of science. And it turned out to be bollocks, I could barely move the next day [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Aussie wines are becoming really good nowadays. I live in Australia, but I have some Mediterrean blood in me, meaning that me and my family love our wine! And the Aussie stuff is really making a name for itself.
Red wine is my lifeblood-I love its rich, strong flavour. I don't like white wine too much, because it tastes weak IMO. Barely any 'oomph' in the white stuff. |
