where are ruins

ruins are everywhere.

for some easy dwemer ruins, try going from balmora to the fort, pass the fort on the left side and go up the hill behind it. cross the bridge and head towards the right. you'll see a big spherical entrance. in order to get in you must turn the crank located nearby.

for some daedric ruins, there are two located across either mountain range from caldera. just head out of one of the gates, turn and face the mountains, and find a way to climb/fly over them, then look around there and you'll find the ruins. there are also some just south/south west of suran (also accross a mountain range). the easiest way to access those without climbing or flying is to go out the west gate (by the temple) and go past the mountains. then turn south and stay near the mountains. you'll find a tomb and some daedric ruins.

for dunmer strongholds, you'll have to ask someone else, i always just stumbled accross them on accident.
